Melon Martini

This martini recipe came from the folks at East Atlanta Village Farmers Market. It’s from food blog Glue & Glitter. The original recipe called for watermelon, but it would work with any melon that came in your box. I got watermelon, I know there were other varieties as well.

Cucumber Cooler

A recipe without provenance. Simple syrup is a mixture of one part granulated sugar and one part water, heated enough to dissolve the sugar. It will keep in your refrigerator for weeks and is the perfect way to sweeten iced tea – no undissolved sugar in the bottom of the glass.

The Hot Pink

How about a beet cocktail? This came from seriouseats.com. I love shrubs!

Apple, Lemon and Gin Shandy

This recipe is from Southern Living September 2013 issue. I’m in the mood for apple cocktails!

Kale Smoothie

A recipe from Women’s Health magazine. It’s just one idea – use the fruits and herbs you prefer. I’m just behind the times and haven’t thought about a kale smoothie – maybe you’ve been making them for years!

Cucumber Sangria

Let’s talk cucumbers. I’ve got two ideas for you. One drink, one pickle (see Garlic Dill Pickles).
